Hello Kitty Frenzy
I have never like pets especially cats in my past 2x years, nor do I like the cat with a ribbon on the left ear that always say 'hello'! However, it's fate that join me with the family that the cat originated from and I am kept within the cubic full of that cat.
After staying in the big event in this very summer for the most loved cat in the world, I feel the frenzy and influence of the little cat casted on human beings especially from the age of 3 to the year of 50. What do I do for it? Actually I am not the PIC of the event, but somehow I was involved in various tasks that are very much related. The train promotion, the website, the online payment gateway, the redemption logic, the promotion etc...I must confess and tell myself that my life is almost full of that lovely cat ! It's funny when I type the name of the event on yahoo.com.hk, I can find a series of news about it and out of surprise, a lot of them came from the online bidding place. I still remember how people examine each and every pieces of the limited edition premium when I helped to speed up the queue. They just started from the doll, the accessories, the name cards, the box, and even the wrapping paper. Once everythings' inspected and were deemed to be perfect, they started making up stories like 'You are taking this set from the abandoned ones!', 'The zipper on the left boot isn't working as smooth as the right one!', 'some of the curly hair of the doll isn't wrapped inside the wrapping paper!', 'How come this doll isn't wrapped with the white paper when you took it out!', 'one crystal is missing from the back of the pendant (obviously it's the collar!)' ... They seemed happy and satisfied if they found out more imperfect parts and would have to convince themselves in pain if they were not able to get another one. They like torture themselves very much in situations like this! But of course, we know that there must be a part of those who buy the products for trading with promised buyers! And it's funny to see for one of the bidding site , a premium that cost $5 each is now bidded at a price of $150 for 2! My feeling towards this is especially strong as being the PIC of that promotion, I got 400 pcs each of that premium under my desk and I start to hate keeping them for it stuck the way my legs stretch!! It's still an unsolved puzzle for me to understand!!
You know, we came across some furious customers, accusing us for all the mis-doing. It's not hard to understand that most of them are impatient boys who actually are very reluctant to come but being forced by the gals. And more, we sell tickets to many single women of about 40 or above as well! I think the more mature ones are either more considerate or they hope to keep their professional image by not letting others know they are actually the lovely cat's fans!
Anyway, it's a good experience to stay there and work together. Afterall, I start to forget all the complaints and unfair accusations after knowing that it has a good start and would, as I believe, end with a good result! Let's see.
